David Felix

Chairman and Trustee

I am a retired Anglican Vicar and I’ve been an active board member of CCA for many years. My new role as Chairman (appointed in January 2022) gives me the opportunity to lead and support CCA’s governing body in pursuit of its charitable objectives.

I bring a wide and diverse range of views from my previous roles in the Church of England, legal profession, housing association boards and roles in rural economic development.

Jackie Weaver

Trustee

I’m the Chief Officer of ChALC and was appointed to the CCA Board in 2008. I have over 20 years’ experience of working with the Town and Parish Councils across Cheshire, Warrington, Halton and Trafford and work to ensure that these local councils are actively involved in the work of CCA.

I’m also a Fellow of the Society of Local Council Managers and involved in a number of key strategic partnerships across Cheshire.

I joined the board to help develop the relationship between the town and parish councils and the community and voluntary sector. I feel that we form a natural partnership and we should explore the opportunities that offers. Working closely with CCA enables me to better achieve that.

Edward Brady

Trustee

I joined the CCA board in 2014 bringing more than 35 years’ experience in the communications industry with me to support CCA. As former public affairs manager at blue-chip companies ICI and Shell UK, I specialise in internal communications, sponsorship management, community and press relations, and crisis management.

I worked closely with and contributed funding to the charitable sector during most of my working career. Now, in retirement, I’ve taken the opportunity to make a further contribution, this time from within the sector.

Lesley Smetham

Trustee

I’ve long been a supporter of CCA’s vital work with communities in Cheshire on issues of health and social care, planning, housing and community buildings.

My previous role as Cheshire East Mayor, continued role as Cheshire East Councillor and involvement with several Cheshire based charities have helped me bring a broad perspective on the issues that are important to the people of Cheshire.

Alison Amesbury

Trustee

I have extensive experience at senior management level working for the local housing authority in Cheshire West bringing knowledge and skills to benefit the CCA Board, customers, colleagues and communities. Understanding and meeting the needs of vulnerable individuals, households and communities is at the heart of everything I do. I have long recognised the critical role played by CCA in the rural area; the longevity and track record of the organisation are a huge credit to the hard work and dedication of the Board and staff.

Pete Turner

Trustee

Pete is a parish clerk, having worked across the sector since 2012 and providing consultancy support nationally. He has a background in business, building and operating a group of award-winning rural businesses in retail, hospitality, training and contract services. He holds a number of voluntary positions and continues to support his community, including sharing his knowledge and practical experience of hedgelaying and dry stone walling.
