I have more than 15 years’ experience within the Third Sector, both from an infrastructure and funding perspective. I’ve previously worked as a grants officer and grants manager at local, regional and national level. My role at CCA focuses on ensuring our objectives are delivered to the highest standard.

John Heselwood

Community Housing Development Manager

I joined CCA in 2006 and have held a variety of roles in that time. My current role involves helping communities conduct housing needs surveys and assessments, and produce neighbourhood plans. I’ve recently launched a community-led housing service, which is enabling me to pursue my passion for helping people develop their own communities.

Chris Davenport

Finance & Commercial Manager

I’m part of the management team at CCA, having worked for the organisation for over 15 years. My key responsibilities include financial, HR and membership oversight. I enjoy working for an organisation that delivers professional community development support across Cheshire. 

Lucy Hughes

Community Led Planning Officer

I joined CCA in 2014 following over 20 years working as a policy planner for local authorities in England and Wales. As a chartered town planner with a background in local planning and policy development, I help local communities prepare their neighbourhood plans.

Kevin Janes

Social Enterprise Manager

I joined the team at CCA in 2018, bringing with me over 10 years’ experience of providing advice and support to social enterprises, community businesses and other not for private profit organisations. In addition to this, I have experience of managing and advising on community regeneration, community development and anti-poverty programmes.

Viv Craven

Pathfinder West

I joined CCA in October 2017 to work for the Pathfinder service. I have more than 20 years’ experience as a personal assistant in a variety of sectors, including finance and working for Cheshire Police. I enjoy being able to help signpost people in need of support to crucial services through my role in the Pathfinder service.

Laura Povey

I joined CCA in January 2023 to work for the Pathfinder service. I have a huge passion for helping people and many years experience in supporting those in the community. In my most recent role, I worked as a Wellbeing Coordinator and I have worked over 10 years as a volunteer for many organisations also. I get much job satisfaction at the end of my working day simply from knowing I’ve made a difference with helping someone in need.

Jo Foster

Hospital Discharge Care Connector

I joined CCA in January 2023 and am based in The Countess of Chester Hospital as a Care Connector – an exciting new role, which seeks to connect patients with the wider VCFSE services in their communities to improve the transition of patients from hospital to home. I have previously worked in clinical roles within the NHS, commercial and Third sectors and I am passionate about supporting community’s and  individual’s health and wellbeing holistically.
