Cheshire Community Action offers
three types of Membership

Community Buildings Membership


Our community buildings membership costs just £50 per year
(or £40 if your Parish or Town Council also join as members).

Your membership will provide:

  • Friendly and expert advice for all your queries;
  • Access to over 40 specialist guidance documents, policies and templates (worth over £600) to help with the smooth running of your community building including specific guidance in relation to COVID-19;
  • Regular updates on community building issues across England through links with ACRE, our national body;
  • Eligibility to join the Hallmark accreditation scheme, which includes discounts from certain insurance suppliers;
  • A full listing in our new online community buildings directory;
  • ££’s off training courses and free giveaways;
  • Access to hire our PAT testing machine including PAT test training;
  • Invites to several network member events each year;
  • Regular e-news updating you on legislation, health and safety, good practice and much more.

We also provide a new optional photo service for an additional £50 that could help boost the marketing of your venue via our new and improved online directory.

You will also be given copyright of the photos to use on your own website, social media channels and other marketing materials.

Parish and
Town Council


Parish and Town Council membership fees are based on the population size of the parish/town.

Members will receive:

  • One free consultation where you can invite a member of the CCA team to one of your council meetings to give presentations and advice on neighbourhood planning, housing needs or a community project or initiative;
  • 10% discount on day rates for our successful not-for-profit neighbourhood planning consultancy service, which has helped around 60 local communities in the preparation of their neighbourhood plans, and which can assist at all stages in the development or review of your plan;
  • 10% discount on day rates for our independent housing needs surveys and assessments, which give Parish and Town Councils useful evidence for: commenting on planning applications, influencing planning policy consultations, developing small affordable and community-led housing schemes and, producing neighbourhood plans.

Members also benefit from:

  • CCA funding advice and;
  • E-news updates on issues and activities relevant to Cheshire communities.

Neighbourhood Forums and Community Housing Group


Membership for neighbourhood forums and community housing groups is free of charge. Members will receive the same benefits as Parish and Town Councils including 10% discount on day rates for community housing technical support.
