Cheshire Community Action has been offering expert advice and support to community spaces for over 95 years. Membership enables us to support local organisations and gives local community groups the ability to influence our work and wider rural development and policy decisions.

Be part of a network of 150+ members across Cheshire.

Your membership fee demonstrates your support for our work and allows us to continue to provide a service for communities across Cheshire. By supporting us through membership you are showing your support for our wider rural policy work and community development. We are a voice in the room for rural communities in Cheshire and a supportive listening ear for our members.

We offer three types of membership:

Community Buildings Membership

Our Community Buildings membership costs £55 per year.

Your membership will provide:

One to one support, advice and signposting
Access to over 40 guidance sheets on legal, safety and governance
Model documents and templates
Health checks for governance and compliance
A full listing in our online community buildings directory
Funding advice – we’ve helped raise nearly £1 million
Eligibility to join the Hallmark accreditation scheme
Monthly members e-newsletter
Invite to annual member conference
Invite to quarterly online peer sharing sessions
Access to Utility Aid energy advice services
Discounts on training
10% discount on day rates for extra support

Parish and
Town Council
Membership

Parish and Town Council membership fees are based on the population size of the parish/town and start at £22 per year.

Members will receive:

One to one support, advice and signposting
One free consultation meeting to advise on neighbourhood planning, social value, housing needs or a community project or initiative
Health checks for governance & compliance
Monthly members e-newsletter
Invite to annual member conference
Invite to quarterly online peer sharing sessions
Access to Utility Aid energy advice services
Discounts on training
10% discount on day rates for extra support

Recreational, green and growing groups Membership

Our Recreational, green and growing group membership costs £22 per year.

Your membership will provide:
