Farndon Community Club Wins Funding
Congratulations to our member, Farndon Community Club, for its recent success in winning grants from two sources: the Platinum Jubilee Fund and Cheshire West and Chester’s Community Building Capital Grants (UKSPF) Community Building Grant.
A VITAL RURAL RESOURCE
Farndon Community Club provides sporting and social activities for residents of Farndon and the surrounding villages, making it an important part of the area’s social fabric.
PLATINUM JUBILEE VILLAGE HALL FUND
Farndon Community Club received £34,000 from the Platinum Jubilee Village Hall Fund, which it used to help pay for removing and replacing a pitched roof on the building, fundraising and donations making up the remaining amount needed.
CWaC COMMUNITY BUILDING CAPITAL GRANTS (UKSPF)
Cheshire West and Chester Community Building Capital Grants (UKSPF) also contributed £6,092, enabling Farndon Community Club to purchase a large storage unit to keep its range of sports equipment and grounds maintenance equipment safe for community use.
MAKING THE MOST OF FUNDING OPPORTUNITIES
We always encourage our community building members to seek out funding opportunities from major grant makers. We can offer advice on identifying and applying for funding, so please ask us if you need some help!
