Rural Together Community Partnership is offering grants of up to £500 per organisation to support local ideas that help rural residents in Cheshire West access clubs, classes and services.

The Rural Impact Fund aims to help community groups and organisations test new ideas, address existing challenges and reach more local people, supporting healthier, happier rural communities.

What can the fund support?

Activities must align with the partnership’s priorities for 2026–27:

  • Social isolation and loneliness
  • Cardiovascular disease
  • Mental health
  • Frailty
  • Dementia
  • Screening service support
  • Carer support
  • Weight loss management
  • Rural transport
  • Support for the farming community
  • Digital inclusion

Where must activities take place?

Activities should take place within Rural Together’s geographical working area. Activities outside this area will only be considered where they are solely for patients of Rural Alliance practices and there is no suitable location within the area.

Groups should check their geographical eligibility with Rural Together before applying.

How to apply

One application is permitted per organisation per financial year. Successful applicants will need to report on the benefits and outcomes of their funded activity.

The final application deadline is 31 January 2027.

For application information and to check eligibility, contact grants@ruraltogether.org.uk. Completed applications should be submitted to the same email address.

We aim to give Cheshire communities a stronger voice by engaging with and supporting them in influencing the places, spaces and services that are important to them.

We work throughout Cheshire West & Chester, Cheshire East, Halton, and Warrington. Although we were originally founded to assist rural communities, in recent years, we have branched out to provide support in larger towns and their suburbs.
