Cheshire Community Action has two Board vacancies. We are looking for dynamic individuals with strong leadership skills who understand the voluntary and community sector, and issues affecting rural communities.

We are looking for two new voluntary Board Members with skills in charity finance and accounting, and mental health provision to join our governing body.

Last year the CPRE, English Rural and the Rural Services Network commissioned a report to evaluate the case for building more affordable homes in rural areas.

Following last year’s launch of Cheshire Community Homes, we are delighted that the Government has announced that £4m in revenue funding has been allocated to a renewed Community Housing Fund.

As all of Cheshire West and Chester Council’s Community Response Fund has now been distributed, the crowdfunding platform Spacehive is being used to provide further opportunities for community initiatives to access funding, with the Council making a £50,000 contribution to kickstart the pot.

Cheshire Community Action has launched a new housing initiative, which has been hailed as playing a vital role in helping communities recover from the economic impact of the pandemic.

Cheshire Community Action (CCA) is part of the VCS Emergencies Partnership, a national partnership between the Voluntary & Community Sector and the Government to help our sector respond to people’s needs during the pandemic with additional volunteers and resources.
