The seven-day celebration unites local communities across Cheshire and beyond, bringing residents together for a week of socialising, fundraising, and raising awareness of the vital role village halls play.
2025 was a busy year for our Community Home First team. As demand for safe, supported NHS hospital discharge continued to rise across Cheshire, our teams at Mid‑Cheshire Hospital (MCH) and the Countess of Chester Hospital (COCH) stepped up to deliver compassionate, person‑centred support when people needed it most. We’re proud to share this report that shows the impact our partnership has had, helping more people return home safely—and stay well.

Read MoreWe’re pleased to confirm that the Cheshire West Welcoming Spaces Grant Fund is returning for 2025–26 and will open for applications on Monday 1st December 2025. The fund is designed to help community organisations, parish and town councils, and community buildings provide warm, welcoming spaces for residents who are feeling the impact of the cost-of-living crisis.
Cheshire West and Chester Council has again allocated funding to support local venues to open their doors as Welcoming Spaces – safe, friendly places where people can keep warm, meet others, and find out about practical help and support. Cheshire Community Action (CCA) will administer the grants on the Council’s behalf.
